It's a beautiful thing to be in friend-love with someone - it's almost as if we have some sort of cosmic connection. We are far apart but somehow always in the same mood, whether it be high spirits or on a low. But I always know that if it's one of those low days, one 20 minute phone call with him can put me right back up on a high. Together we are the best, strongest, and bravest versions of ourselves.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07775922960684551049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5912664902260077584.post-28266881625525996172014-10-30T13:24:01.084-04:002014-10-30T13:24:01.084-04:00I love this question! I always thought I would be a mom someday, but the thought of it being a reality was terrifying nonetheless. I love my life and relationships, why would I want to change it all? He is only 23 weeks young and not even out and about in this world, but he already makes me want to be better. Be braver. Love harder. Teach and learn. Create. Share. He makes me want to create a better world for him to live, love and have fun in. This little baby, who I can barely feel minus the occasional kick to my bladder, is already teaching me that trading expectations for appreciation makes the world a better and more beautiful place.
And this adorable print would go right in his nursery to remind him to be brave and love.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09863304505018295679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5912664902260077584.post-38090128431124069002014-10-30T10:32:46.838-04:002014-10-30T10:32:46.838-04:00MY SISTER! When we were children she stayed in the room with me, even though we had an empty bedroom down the hall, because I was scared to be alone at night. As teenagers she supported my stubborn personality, letting me know it wasn't her way but it was ok to mine. When I went off to college, she made me a trunk (it is still an awesome addition to my home), it was made so I would fill it with my hopes as I went on the the next stage of life. As adults she traveled from NY to VA to share in the birth of my son. She continued to support me by answering every phone call, too many to count, I ever made as a concerned first time mom. She taught me to be brave in darkness because I was never alone; never apologize for who I am; always fill my life with hopes; always ask for help especially out of love or concern. Her love and support makes me a better person every day!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05448898968753965289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5912664902260077584.post-70666847645436951842014-10-29T11:37:12.494-04:002014-10-29T11:37:12.494-04:00My boys make me better and braver. They have pushed me outside my comfort zone and have given me the most wonderful experiences of my life. And the wonderful thing about kids is when you don’t quite succeed even having made the attempt is seen as just as much of a success because it’s the foundation to build a bigger, better, bolder dream on. How many of you can say that they lost their best childhood friend at 27 yrs old In their sleep and their 21 year old brother to suicide when they were 32. I was with him when he found out about his brother. We were both volunteering at a camp for siblings with cancer when the call came in. It was probably the most traumatic thing I have ever witnessed and even through his own grief he still came back to camp and made sure his kids were ok. He has been through some very tragic things and he helped me through my divorce.

He is the most loving and caring person I have ever met. I'm lucky and blessed to have him in my life. I don't know how he gets up most days and functions with the pain he feels. But I know for myself, that even though I'm alone and divorced I will never take this world on by myself cause he is always right beside me even 6 hrs away. We hold each other up and tackle every obstacle together. I hope everyone finds or has their own "Robbie". Laura. These are pretty cliche answers but they're so very true. My mom helps my creative side soar, my dads helps the type A personality in me plan, and my boyfriend holds my hand when I take scary risks. I couldn't do it without any of them. Whether it’s a quiet whisper he sends my way to tell me to keep trying, or a roaring cheer to let me know he’s behind me all the way - he encourages me to go for it. He inspires, challenges, dances, waits, listens, shares, laughs, cries, motivates - all at just the right time. They have made me push out of my comfort zone, my insecure, introverted comfort zone, to be better and braver FOR them. To not let my fears and insecurities become theirs down the road. They, of course, don't know they do this for me yet, but its the truth. I've gone places, talked to people, done things I never would've thought because I want to create a fun, happy, exciting world for them to grow up in!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17825760280034335629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5912664902260077584.post-64260585485609047732014-10-24T14:03:52.512-04:002014-10-24T14:03:52.512-04:00My husband makes me a better and braver person. When I was 12, he left his job with a steady paycheck and started his own company - a colossal risk that I didn't realize the gravity of until I started my own business many years later (and I don't have two kids to support!). She does it all with style.
